My Twitter Archive

I spent years putting out little micro-blogs of advice about writing, productivity, qualitative methods, research design, and publishing. I always wanted to put together a blog, but I just kept putting things on twitter, which seemed like a good platform with a built-in audience. But the platform I used is now strongly politicized and a lot of folks don’t want to use twitter (X). Plus, scrolling through twitter to find advice is time consuming and there’s no index. So, here is that archive. It’s a work in progress because, as an apparently Very Online Person, I tweeted a lot. It’s organized into topics. And some of my posts are duplicative because I do see the same problems over and over again, but I say them slightly differently and maybe one version will resonate in a way a different version won’t. I also link to the originals so you can see folks’ replies, which also contain valuable insight and context. I hope you enjoy my bite-sized chunks of advice!

A lot of these are hot takes. Remember I provide more detailed and thoughtful advice elsewhere on my website (under the Resources page) and in my book, Rocking Qualitative Social Sciences. At some point, I will finally finish my book on writing and productivity advice, too (the irony…).
